The Havens mission
is to offer abused, neglected and abandoned children love and care in a secure and warm environment.
St Laurence’s Children’s Haven
founded in January 2001 under the auspices of the Roodepoort Child and Family Welfare Society.
Young people from different backgrounds have a huge impact on us and all our activities. They highlight those parts of the society that are broken, so we can help them in all possible ways to regain hope and flourish in life.
The haven is dedicated to providing a safe home, support, and care for children between the ages of +/- 6 Months and older within our community.
Meet the Team
The five of us are 2nd year Hospitality Management students at the Swiss Hotel School dedicated to creating a wonderful experience for the children of the St Laurence’s Children’s Haven.
Along with our event day happening on the 7th of June, which is exclusively a day for the children of the home to relax and enjoy themselves in a safe and fun environment, we also aim to generate funds, sponsorships, and donations that the Children and their caretakers at the Haven can fully utilise for their futures. Our many fundraising events that we hold, both internally and externally to our school, are all to reach this ultimate goal.
Fun Day Fundraiser - 7th of June 2025
The event aims to raise funds, gather donation, and host a Fun Day for the St Laurence Children's Haven, through various sponsorships.
Impact
SHS is striving to make this event a memorable and impactful experience for the children, as such we are reaching out to community-minded individuals and organisations for sponsorship support.
Contribution
We need generosity and contribution to enable us to bring this event to life, we are seeking any type of sponsorship whether it be cash sponsorship (Strictly raising funds for Haven), product sponsorships or event sponsorships.

In return for your sponsorship contributions, we would be delighted to offer your organisation prominent recognition and visibility throughout the event, including acknowledgement in promotional materials, signage at the event venue, social media mentions, and any other forms of recognition deemed appropriate.
